Focused & Faster: Fsas Technologies Launches in Europe

With the start of the new fiscal year on April 1, 2025, Fsas Technologies has officially been launched in Europe. But what’s behind the new name? And what does it mean for customers and partners in Europe?

In a special interview, Christian Leutner, Head of Fsas Technologies Europe, shares his perspective on the transition, what stays the same and – more importantly – what’s changing. One thing’s for sure: the focus is sharper than ever.

A strong focus on data center infrastructure

Christian Leutner

Fsas Technologies is totally new in Europe. What kind of company is it going to be?

Fsas Technologies is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Fujitsu Group, reflecting a strategic restructuring for growth and agility. The intent is that now Fsas Technologies can focus exclusively on the data center market, which means two things:

  1. Much faster responses to market & customer needs and
  2.  A renewed approach to portfolio innovation.

I am really confident that this new, dedicated focus allows us to better serve the European market.

What is different compared to Fujitsu?

In some ways nothing changes: we retain the high-quality standards, Japanese values of precision & reliability, and critically retain the same great people & contact persons you work with today.

But in other ways, we are now also quite different: It’s no secret that Fujitsu is a services-focused company and has been transitioning towards this for many years – often with goals which are naturally different from the hardware business. Now that really changes: Fsas Technologies full and single focus is data center infrastructure, fully independent and empowered to grow. Of course, we clearly will work closely with and continue to be supported by Fujitsu, but we can be clearer to the market on which company does what and importantly, who to contact for what.

Looking into the future

What will be the most noticeable difference for customers and partners when interacting with the new brand?

On top to what I just outlined, the new brand will only look a bit different – that’s it. The brand itself importantly stands for a company looking into the future, you’ll see the so called “focus ring” in the logo which reflects this – and the colors blue and green reminding us for a need for sustainability in all we do.

What does moving to Fsas Technologies mean to you personally?

It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity! Leading this new, focused company allows me to build a team dedicated to achieving ambitious goals within the dynamic data center landscape. There are huge opportunities in front of us all, with a particular focus on AI infrastructure, where we have some really exciting plans and partnerships coming soon.

I am sure that this will help us to shape the future of our business and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

What to expect from Fsas Technologies

Which advantages do you see for customers?

I’d say customers will see advantages in three ways:

  • Firstly, customers will very soon start to see what this renewed innovation means towards our portfolio and our processes – expect over time to see more tailored solutions and more streamlined interactions with a company now able to build customer experiences dedicated to their needs.
  • Customers (and partners) will hear much more from us, with new dedicated marketing channels purely for our data center infrastructure news you will be able to see exactly what we are up to much more than today, which is often noted to me as something we could do better.
  • And of course, we will maintain the high quality and reliability they expect from Fujitsu, while offering a more responsive and efficient service.

Strong partnerships for the European market

How about partnerships?

Our commitment to our partners – technology partners, resellers, and distributors – remains unchanged. We are fully committed to all our partnerships and we see our partners as integral to our success.

In fact, we will need our partners and their capabilities more than ever as we start to further invest in our critical and key focus areas and expand our offered capabilities throughout Europe. I still believe no company can do everything, and an ecosystem remains the number one priority for us in growing our business in selected markets.

What is your ambition for this new company?

Our ambition is to become the specialist provider of advanced data center solutions in Europe, renowned for our knowledge of complex environments, world-class service, innovation, reliability, and customer focus. We aim to be the go-to partner for businesses seeking cutting-edge technology and exceptional service.

Many reasons to be excited about

Which innovations can we expect to come from Fsas Technologies?

The things I’m most excited about… probably two major ones:

  • Upcoming innovations with PRIMERGY CDI (Composable Disaggregated Infrastructure) which I believe will revolutionize how datacenters are architected.
  • Bringing Fujitsu’s renowned technology innovations like the Fujitsu Digital Annealer, as well as the upcoming Fujitsu MONAKA processor, into our on-premises portfolio.

As an executive, what excites you most about this transition?

The opportunity to build something new and impactful. This new company represents a chance to create a best-in-class data center solutions provider, tailored to the European market, while leveraging the strength and heritage of the Fujitsu Group. It’s going to be a fun ride and we can’t wait do it with you!

Thank you for taking the time for this interview, Christian.

Looking ahead

Fsas Technologies marks a fresh chapter – one built on the solid foundation of the Fujitsu Group, yet driven by a bold new focus: data center innovation, tailored for Europe. The ambition? To become the go-to provider for advanced infrastructure solutions across the region. And we’re just getting started. We look forward to shaping this journey together – with our customers, partners, and everyone who shares our vision for the future of data center technology.
